Cidade; Campo (2024) – Storyline

The film unfolds in two distinct chapters exploring migration and memory. In the first, rural worker Joana is forced to leave her flooding hometown and find refuge in São Paulo, where, through precarious cleaning jobs and camaraderie, she clings to the hope of rediscovering lost family and healing inner ghosts. In the second, Flávia and her wife Mara relocate to her late father’s isolated farm and uncover hidden echoes of his life—and unsettling presences in the surrounding wilderness that force them to confront old traumas.
